Volkswagen Golf Mk7 Owners Manual: Operation via the infotainment system

Beyond the physical panel, various Climatronic settings on the Volkswagen Golf Mk7 can be adjusted through the infotainment system. This page gives the exact steps to open the Air conditioning menu — via the dedicated button or the MENU button — and reach the deeper settings not available on the console itself.

Various Climatronic settings can also be adjusted via the infotainment system.

Opening the Air conditioning menu

  • Press the     button.
  • OR: press the MENU infotainment button. Use the right-hand rotary/push knob to select and open the Air conditioning menu.

The current air conditioning settings are displayed in the upper section of the screen, e.g. the temperatures that are currently set for the driver and passenger sides. Set temperatures up to +22°C (+72°F) are depicted with blue arrows, while temperatures above +22°C (+72°F) are depicted with red arrows.

Touch the corresponding function button to switch a function on or off, or to select a submenu.

Air conditioning profile Setting the blower level in AUTO mode. You can choose between light, medium and strong.

Air conditioning profile function button for setting the blower output in AUTO mode. You can choose between light, medium and strong.
Touch the Automatic supplementary heater function button to switch the supplementary heater on and off   .
Touch the Automatic air recirculation function button to switch automatic air recirculation on and off   .
Function button for closing the submenu.
