| Leave the holders in the vehicle on removing the heater and
air conditioning unit. The illustration shows a left-hand drive
vehicle. |

Remove heater and air conditioner unit
→ Chapter. |
| – |
Disconnect electrical connector -1-. |
| – |
Fold aside the heat shield -2-
behind the ABS unit. |
| – |
Unscrew nuts -3- and
-5-. |
| – |
Detach the holder -4- in the
passenger compartment. |
Note
| The refrigerant pipe with the internal heat exchanger must
be removed if the nut above the ABS unit is not accessible as
described

| Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When
installing, note the following: |

Insert holders -1- and
-3- into mounting on heater and air
conditioning unit -2- and place
heater and air conditioning unit in installation position. |

Install heater and air conditioning unit
→ Chapter. |

|
|
| – |
Tighten nuts -3- and
-5- on holders. |
| – |
Install remaining components. |
| – |
Read event memory, and clear any entries displayed vehicle
diagnostic tester in “Guided fault finding” mode. |

As a final step, check operation of the heater/air
conditioner. |

Yes. The manual states the holders should remain in the vehicle when removing the heater/AC unit. LHD shown; RHD identical.
