Closing sunroof by hand — Volkswagen Golf Mk7

How do I close the Golf Mk7 sunroof manually?
Remove the glass panel or access cover, expose the motor drive, and turn the mechanism by hand to bring the panel to the closed position. This is an emergency procedure when the motor or electrics fail.
Is the Golf Mk7 sunroof anti-trap function active during manual closing?
No. The anti-trap function is electronic and only works with the motor. During manual closing, check that nothing is in the path of the panel.
