Volkswagen Golf Mk7 Service & Repair Manual: Removing and installing wiper arm

Using puller -T10369- and torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-, this page covers removing the Volkswagen Golf Mk7 rear wiper arm — switch on the ignition and run the wiper to its end position first.

Removing and installing wiper arm

Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-
Removing
–  Switch on ignition.
–  Actuate “rear window wipe” function and allow wiper arm to move to its end position.
–  Switch off ignition.
–  Remove ignition key, if inserted.
 

Removing and installing wiper arm

–  Press together cap of rear window wiper -1- in direction of arrow -A-.
–  Fold up cover cap in direction of arrow -B- to unclip.
–  Loosen hexagon nut (13 mm) without unscrewing it completely.
 

Removing and installing wiper arm

–  Fit puller -T10369/5- to wiper arm -2-.
–  Fit thrust piece -3- to wiper shaft.
–  Screw in bolt -1- until wiper arm has been pulled off the wiper shaft.
–  Unscrew nut -4- completely and remove wiper arm.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal, observing the following:
–  Adjusting wiper arm → Chapter.
