Using torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-, this page covers removing the Volkswagen Golf Mk7 front tunnel cross-piece — remove the centre underbody panel if fitted, then unbolt and lift the cross-piece free.

Removing and installing front tunnel cross-piece

Removing
–  If fitted, remove centre underbody panel → Chapter
–  Remove bolts -2-.
–  Remove front tunnel cross-piece -1-.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal observing the following:
