Questions & answers
Variable luggage compartment floor — Volkswagen Golf Mk7
What is the Golf Mk7 variable luggage compartment floor?
A height-adjustable false floor in the boot. In the upper position it creates a flat surface level with the folded rear seats; in the lower position it maximises boot depth.
How do I change the Golf Mk7 boot floor height?
Lift the floor panel by the grip and set it on the higher or lower support notch on the side walls. The spare wheel or tyre repair kit is stored underneath.
Can the Golf Mk7 variable floor be removed entirely?
Yes. It lifts out completely, giving maximum vertical space — useful for tall items like a pushchair or large suitcase standing upright.
