Slightly remove retainer -5- from
bonnet lock -1--arrow b- and unhook cable

How do I remove the Golf Mk7 bonnet lock (LHD)?
Open the bonnet, remove the Bowden cable from the mounting bracket, disconnect the bonnet contact switch connector, unbolt the lock mechanism and remove it.
Is the Golf Mk7 bonnet lock different for LHD and RHD?
The lock mechanism is essentially the same, but the Bowden cable routing and mounting bracket positions differ. Separate procedures are provided for each.
