Using removal wedge -3409-, this page covers removing the LHD Volkswagen Golf Mk7 evaporator temperature sensor -G308- — Note: only fitted on air-conditioned vehicles; the opening is sealed on heater-only cars.

Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
Removal wedge -3409-
  Note
Only vehicles with air conditioning system; on vehicles with heater, opening in heater is sealed off.
Removing
–  Remove glove compartment → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.68.
 

Removing and installing evaporator temperature sensor -G308-, LHD vehicles

–  Release evaporator temperature sensor -G308- using removal wedge -3409-.
–  Pull evaporator temperature sensor -G308--2- out of the housing.
–  Disconnect electrical connector -1-.
Installing
Install in reverse order.
Specified torques:
Compartments/covers; Assembly overview - glove compartment → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.68.
