If uncertain whether the Volkswagen Golf Mk7 metering pump -V54- has an end sealing valve, this page gives the test: connect a hand vacuum pump -VAS 6213- to the connection and generate a vacuum to check.

–  If you are uncertain as to whether the metering pump -V54--C- has an end sealing valve or not, connect e.g. hand vacuum pump -VAS 6213- to connection -A-.
–  Use hand-operated vacuum pump to a generate a vacuum of approx. 0.8 bar.
Connection -B- should be open.
Vacuum is maintained on metering pumps -V54- with end sealing valve.
