Volkswagen Golf Mk7 Service & Repair Manual: Removing and installing tie-down rings

Using torque wrench -V.A.G 1783-, this page covers removing the Volkswagen Golf Mk7 tie-down rings on the left side (right is similar) — fold down the bar and unclip it for access.

  Note
Removal and installation are described for the left vehicle side. Follow same instructions for the right side as appropriate.

Removing
–  Fold down bar -4- and unclip cover -1- using a screwdriver.
–  Unscrew bolt -3- and remove tie-down ring -2-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Specified torques
