Volkswagen Golf Mk7 Service & Repair Manual: Removing and installing mirror trim

Using torque wrench -V.A.G 1783-, this page covers removing the Volkswagen Golf Mk7 left mirror trim (right side is similar) — remove the mirror glass and cover first, then unbolt the trim itself.

Removal and installation are described only for the left mirror trim. The right side is similar.

Removing and installing mirror trim

Removing
–  Remove mirror glass → Chapter.
–  Remove mirror cover → Chapter.
–  Remove bolts -2-.
–  Release mirror frame -1- from catches.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal observing the following:
–  Then check function.
Specified torques
  Bolts → Item
