This assembly overview covers the Volkswagen Golf Mk7 rear shelf support, left side shown (right is a mirror image), with a clip that must be renewed if damaged or deformed.

  Note

The illustration shows the rear shelf support on the left side. The right-hand side is similar (mirror image of left-hand side).

1 -	Rear shelf support

• Removing and installing → Chapter

2 -

Clip

• Renew clip if damaged or deformed

3 -

Bolt

• 1.5 Nm

4 -	Retaining clip

• Insert in rear shelf support.
• Remove any retaining clips left in body mountings using removal tool -T40280-
• Renew any damaged or deformed retaining clips

5 -

Bolt

• 8 Nm
