Fig. 10 shows the front passenger side of the Volkswagen Golf Mk7 dash panel (left-hand drive; mirrored on right-hand drive cars), marking the location of the front passenger airbag inside the dash and the passenger-side vent.     What features are on the front passenger side of the Golf Mk7?
    The passenger side houses the front passenger airbag in the dash panel, air vents, the glove compartment with an opening lever and lock, and — at the side of the dash — the key-operated switch for disabling the front passenger airbag.
    Where is the key switch to disable the front passenger airbag on the Golf Mk7?
    The key-operated switch is on the side of the dash panel, visible when the front passenger door is open. Turn it with the vehicle key to disable the airbag when a rearward-facing child seat is fitted.
    How do I open the Golf Mk7 glove compartment?
    Lift the opening lever on the glove compartment lid. If it is locked, use the vehicle key to unlock it first. The glove compartment also has an interior light on most models.
    Is there a warning when the front passenger airbag is switched off on the Golf Mk7?
    Yes. When the airbag is deactivated, an indicator lamp at the top of the centre console lights up to alert both driver and passenger that the front passenger airbag is off.
