Remove front door trim
→ General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.70. |

Unclip cover -3- detaching adhesive
tape -4- while doing so. |

Remove loudspeaker
→ Electrical system; Rep. gr.91. |

Reach through opening in loudspeaker, and disconnect connector
-8- for exterior mirror-1-. |

Unscrew bolts -5- from exterior mirror

Remove control unit for door, and detach clip
-7- installed behind it -arrows-. |

Thread electric wire -6- through hole
in door, and remove exterior mirror -1-. |
| Install in the reverse order of removal observing the following: |

If adhesive tape of clip are damaged, remove cover. |

How do I remove the Golf Mk7 exterior mirror housing?
Remove the door trim and inner triangular cover, disconnect the wiring, unbolt the two mounting bolts (9 Nm) and lift the mirror off the door.
