Special tools and workshop equipment required

Special pop rivet pliers -V.A.G 1753B-   Hand drill   Safety goggles Removing –  Remove backrest cover and backrest padding → Chapter. –  Remove connecting Bowden cable → Chapter.   WARNING Risk of eye injury. Wear eye protection.

–  Push Bowden cable end-piece -1- in -direction of arrow- off mounting bracket for backrest release mechanism using a screwdriver. –  Drill out rivet -2- on backrest frame. –  Remove mounting bracket for backrest release mechanism -3- from backrest frame. Installing Installation is carried out in reverse order. Specified torques   → Chapter „Assembly overview - front backrest“   → Chapter „Assembly overview - front seat“
